So Many Stones

So Many Stones

A Poem by JR

So

many stones

thrown into

the water

making waves;

Standing in

the shallows

under boughs

only ripples;

Always wonder

when the weight

of the waves

will finally

find me.

I guess this made me see a protagonist who feels guilt about some of their life, either somethings they did or did not do. It has a stark feel to it as they await their inevitable demise.

That's a pretty good read of it, thanks!
