Gavrilo

Gavrilo

A Poem by JR

I am enthralled by the feel of your frame

beneath the squeeze of my fingers

the weight of you, the way you move, the thrum of you

against the side of my thumb

I stand erect, you below me

resting in the firm of my grip

surrounded in your fragrant oil, a mist of movement

together we are

an agony in action;

I admit I think of you, at night

our future, when

I take my head in my hand

tomorrow, we will go together

into the crowds like lovers,

down to Appel Quay…

Tomorrow, in front of everyone

you will make me

a man.
