Soaked

Soaked

A Poem by JR

This world a

maelstrom,

this world the

wind that blows

or rain that falls

from a sky

heavy

with disapproval

to puddle at my

toes and I go it into

these bone

headwinds alone,

my body like

hailstones I carry

melting

the world

a maelstrom

the world a wind

and me?

I get soaked.
