Whiskey And Gin

Whiskey And Gin

A Poem by JR

Of all the places for my bones

to rest, I wonder why it’s here

where I can’t buy guns but I can

get full strength beer, it’s

gotten weird I thought I heard

a call from these woods but there’s

nothing but echoes, nothing to

fill the space where love

and laughter should tonight

is full and ripe and full of

whiskey and gin, if I could

go back again, I would.

I have no beer, whiskey or gin. Well, I had beer but just drank my last bottle so there's that. (laughing). I liked this. I'm fortunate and blessed to have that love and laughter around me in my family though. I enjoyed reading.

When you've had enough whiskey and gin, nostalgia can really bite you in the a*s LOL. Thanks man.
