Scare Bear

Scare Bear

A Poem by JR

They hunt you this time for your brain

and not your body they seem to be

everywhere, all sides, pressing in they

want you scared, they want you hurt,

they want you running, your long claws

tearing at the earth your heart pumping

like a machine eating acid they want

your mind racing, racing, like your muscles

your eyes pulse and burn the brain behind

them makes the decision, and you turn

because if you’re gonna die, it’s best to

not do it on your back;

They will kill you

as quickly as they can, they will make

a feast of your mind… when they eat it,

I wonder what they’ll find?

I want to also comment on this one. I am living at area where so many people are proud to be bear killers. Which I find quiet cowardice when they have all that clever shotguns and bear have just his teeth . I know some people here are living at poverty so some killing the bears cause bad economic situation. It's survival game here. This country is not for old men. Bears are often visit where human lives to get some food. Cause we humans cut the from their food sources. It's quiet no optimistic situation. I like how you provide empathy for those poor creatures who soon or later became death meat.

Thanks man. Yeah, death meat is a good way to say it. I do feel empathy for them.

Tastes just like chicken probably. I suffer no fear of them coming for my brain. I had one of those brain-eating amoebas as a kid and the poor thing just starved to death.(laughing) I like this a lot. I like the sense of desperation and the urgency for escape. I'm sure the sentiment hits close to home for many right now. This could be about intellectual property theft, though, you know...people stealing ideas and claiming them as their own. Or is it just something to "bear in mind"? Okay, no more jokes. I'd never make a good comedian.
