Go And Go

Go And Go

A Poem by JR

The trees, oh those trees, were

a headlight blur and the moon was

damn near full a bloated enterprise

rising above the ridge and

I drove so fast because I didn’t

want to have to think and

when I drive fast I never do

it’s just go, and go, and she’s beside

me so I go and go

and the radio blares something

I don’t know and I go and go

and she’s beside me

and the night is tinged with her

and the trees are a blur

and I’m driving with one hand

and I go and go

if we go fast enough, we won’t

have to think the trees a

blur and I go

and go.
