Straight-Razor Grin

Straight-Razor Grin

A Poem by JR

I do fear death

maybe a little, but then again

we’ve looked each other in the eye

a couple of times now, given

that knowing grin

tip of a nod

and moved on;

I know he’s waiting for me

closer every day now

with his overcoat and

straight-razor grin but I’m

only a little scared of him,

while he should be

plenty afraid

of me.

Interesting philosophy here. Probably not wise to think death is afraid of you. His won/lost record is awesome.
