Kingdom of SilverA Poem by JROh my god this is the kingdom of silver, this is the reign of wet, descends in a pound or a whisper to my unbound scalp, now shorn of hair and ready for your arrival; I have been so busy with my heart that I have forgotten my head that needful organ that pulses as a gray bulb it craves the rain and now it has come to feed molecules to membrane; Oh my god I could be as the vapor through cedar, drawn from the Pacific in one long breath my mind can one day also rise as mist to be exhaled over these hills into the kingdom of silver like all living things. © 2020 JR |
