Like A Hush

Like A Hush

A Poem by JR

Something happened in that field

where we killed the bottle of vodka

something happened, no one talks

I remember the stars and tracing Leo

with the edge of my finger

like a hush;

(no one ever talks)

Something happened in that field

under the stars; where I outlined

the dippers

that had been pointed out to me

since I was a child;

Something happened in that field

one night, under Orion

we killed the vodka

like a hush

no one ever talks about

the process of

becoming a man.

I like the looking at the stars and the last two lines sums up this poem quite well
