That Poem

That Poem

A Poem by JR

Be hesitant

let it come to you

like a lover

for f**k’s sake

let it shed its clothes,

this time;

when you reach

it slides from your fingers

like satin,

like her slip

when you reach

you fall to your knees

when you reach

it leaves you wanting;

so this time

this time

for f**k’s sake

let it come to you

like a lover

don’t you reach

this time make it

be the one to

shed its clothes.

Hahaha then I’ll pray for my lucky night today ;)
JR, I must admit I've never made such a comparison to writing or writer's block, but I get the reference, and love the originality. Wise advice to not rush into such things. Haste seems to bring regrets in both realms.

I must admit his work speaks to me at 51, probably not so much when I was in my 20s.
