Sin

Sin

A Poem by JR

I want to taste you

the moment I see you

and all holy men say this is sin.

I’m absorbed by you

in the flicker of a wing

and all holy men say this is sin.

I weigh your lines

the fold of your clothes

and all holy men say this is sin.

I want to know if your tongue

is like no one else I’ve tasted

and this is sin.

I want to lay you down so softly

and give you the weight

I was gifted

and this is sin.

I want to see the mix of your fabrics

removed

and this is sin.

I want to realize the way your flesh slides

against me

and this is sin.

all holy men

well know sin,

and they tell me

this is it

and I don’t care

I’m not a holy man.
