Lilac and CherriesA Poem by JRI’d followed you around all evening it was that kind of party, I think you may have gauged my interest while we discussed Roman military stratagem… did you know they lost the war? I watched the way you moved the twist of your hips through the people, like a stiletto parting cloth I thought you too sharp for me but it was you by the door who caught me by the lips with your lilac lotion skin and the taste of cherry cough drops on your tongue you asked me to stay; love for us now an old animal who will curled up around the house and go to sleep dreaming of lilac and cherries. © 2020 JR |
