Machine

Machine

A Poem by JR

I love the reassuring weight of you

all of your clicks and clacks

the smell of your oil, I keep my machine

clean as a whistle

because every broken thing was at one time whole

and every whole thing

may one day need to be broken…

I will keep you heavy in my hand
