Now, Allen...

Now, Allen...

A Poem by JR

"the weight we carry / is love" - Song, Allen Ginsberg

I must fall down awhile

under the weight

of love

become a puddle

of self

a bubbling mass of mixed elixirs

boil off the mediums

and reveal the bare essence

the distillate at the core

I must collapse awhile, now

into the ether

of my mind

this my body, corporeal

compressed by the weight

into dust and dream

I am in love again with the stone

of love itself

this quivering mass of me

I must fall down awhile

to rise with the weight

of love
