Take A PictureA Poem by Jared PendergrassI should’ve taken a picture ‘cause it would last longer. I won’t play these games ‘cause they melt my mind. Even now i can’t speak poorly of her. Baby, it was so much easier to say goodbye. So, it took a devil to get me in church? It’s not so hard behaving polite. Maybe we took it a step farther than what would have been advised. but who cares anyway? It was fun while it lasted, but now I’m laughing So, who, who’s coming clean? I’m so happy that it’s over. Who the hell needs closure, when the whole world knows exactly what it means? Show that pearly white two faced smirk and let me see those deep brown eyes. I’ll show you how to walk away in return but you already know that trick, right? It was fun while it lasted, but now I’m laughing So, who, who’s coming clean? I’m so happy that it’s over. Who the hell needs closure, when the whole world knows exactly what it means? Some things never change, but never stay the same one heart broken always claims two names I’m sorry to her, caught in the wake one was a devil, one was a saint Well, i hope that saints move past it I wish that she’s still laughing and who, who’s coming clean? I’m so happy that it’s over and i hope she has her closure somebody tell me what all this s**t means© 2014 Jared PendergrassAuthor's Note
