Common Place

Common Place

A Poem by J.P.O.et

Commonplace

like this here space,

I descriminantly lace

with words outwardly

casted.

Let me lyrically

chastise the human race

destroying indiscriminantly

with lies cowardly

fashioned.

Commonplace

is the ignorant face

of apathy traced

allowing this criminality

in the powers that be

continually.

Let me stop and see

how we will replace

what we have raped

and left smelling sourly

unlike

Her flowers that be

blooming early.

Changing how naturally

the birds and the bees

do these things

that bring

life.

Commomplace

like how we pace

ourselves with no disgrace

consuming resources, pilfering

wasting.

Let us contine this race

and we shall be placed

in violent hostility

against fellow humanity.

The future holds truths

of consequence

if the visionary sequence

is not heard truly.

Calamitous prophecies

ensuing.

Great write - it fits well with your quote from Einstein. One of my favorites of his is 'God don't play dice.' Interesting quote from such a man I think. In any case, beautiful, powerful message here - well done. Thank you.

I like this a lot, it's real slam poetry, those quick bursts and rhyme, and the content is "in your face" so to speak, such as when you say...

"Let me lyrically
chastise the human race
destroying indiscriminantly
with lies cowardly
fashioned."

Keep it up prophet, we'll be messed up if we don't stop living this way. Fight on!
