January 1 what has been done
a mama lost her son before the breaking dawn
A man rams his car in New Orleans streets
to get closer to his Isis dreams
Only my GOD will carry us with HIS love
Here Oakland crime rules the headlines of the land
everyone thinks they understand
but I ask you why is there so much violence ?
what does it bring you after you do
does ramming the store with your car feed your hungry belly
it just makes your soul damned and smelly
what does hurting the innocent bring you
when my GOD tells me to love one another
remember the weapons can never prosper
what does your God tell you to do
to kill and torture
but what for
does it bring you closer to heaven
i can’t understand the storm
but I know this is earth
where we were doomed to hurt
because of original sin
even Jesus walked in it
He nailed himself on the cross
because of His love
we see sheep that got lost
cry out to Him
give all this grim away
let the violence fade
by the love light of 2025
maybe we can finally see an earthly peaceful life
