The Ugly Truth

The Ugly Truth

A Poem by butterfly

I must write it out
The bad s**t follows me like a cloud
When you are with your family and no one saves you a slice of cheese
they only say I never asked for them to save a piece
It just shows sometimes how they think of me
which is very depressing
and when I come to expressing
I just feel like no one understands what I mean
it is okay because unlike some I wont ram my car because I have a broken heart
in to their store and watch other innocents fall a part
The police and the thieves maybe they are another kind of family
while the others cry because no one saved them even one square of cheese
they put them all on the turkey patties that everyone was to full to eat
while the vegetarian cooked her own meal
I give to God all that I feel
He would have saved me a slice of cheese
even without me asking for 1 piece
I write it out because when you are single and not one person in your own family
thought of you it can make you blue
even here in the Yosemite Oakhurst sunset we see nature reveals its ugly truth

Most of us lead lives of quiet desperation ... Thoreau paraphrased.
...The rest of us construct our own Realities ... Me.
Screw Thoreau! :)

thanks for the review
I began to understand what I mean only after I let go of hoping other people would understand. I think life is much easier that way. I like your poem.
