I Fly Away

I Fly Away

A Poem by butterfly

I want to go to Nespresso Cafe
Sit inside and drink my Moka Latte
But the sky is so grey
with what feels like endless rain
it takes me a way to another place
where life isn't bleak or feeling like a waste
We can break these chains that force us to be slaves
Free ourselves from all the attachments ending in pain
The men and this real world just aren't cutting it for me
Diamonds are a girl best friend in the end
This is my new thing to collect
I am done with all those older chapters.
Even though there were happy different happy ever afters
Some were my choice
but some were directed by His voice
HE can take the wheel
I know though the map dont make sense
this is my own journey He knows where it ends
I follow the night
Mouln Rouge reminds
Can't stand the light
I am a mixture of black and white
Like a unity cookie
I dont understand what marriage can bring
i dont see what this lust thing
has done for you and me
but the dream of love isn't through with me
It was good for a while
made me smile
after a time I felt like dying
somewhere out there he heard me crying
God had a purpose for our connection
but now it lacks dedication
I dont want to stay
I dont want secrets and lying
So today I fly away
through the gray and rain
dreaming of that loveshine I am meant to find someday
