Everytime I touch your face

Everytime I touch your face

A Story by butterfly

I wish I could stay in this lavender haze with you
hold you close to me and feel your love is true
i am fool for you each and every time
you call me and i just can never ignore the echoes of my mind
we have become 2 dumb rats going through this endless maze
how can you keep going from me to she
everyone gets I love you baby please dont leave me
I get
I dont love anybody but I have a love for you
what do you expect me to do
what do you expect me to say
was it better for me to disappear
or have me text these awful words for you here
i broke my own vow
he kept calling and sounds so sad now
only to go back in to that same cloud
oh baby can't you see me dying
can't you hear me crying
i hurt him each time i disappear
why does he still leave me a message are you ok dear
oh dear lover
why are you such a mother f****r
why should we even bother
even though i tried to hide away
i heard him call me in this lavender haze
out there must be the better kiss
the safer embrace
i just want to say in this lavender haze
i feel my self falling from grace
every time i touch your face

this was an interesting narrative that winds up and down as the persona explores the highs and lows of a relationship. there is something ingenue about this monologue, but it was very charming. the phrase 'lavender haze' was brilliant. the loving gesture of touching someone's face, which is so intimate yet natural between lovers is a great way to express the persona's feelings about their partner. short but epic, this was a work full of charm and character.
