Beaming Headlights

Beaming Headlights

A Poem by butterfly

so many tell me to leave
i try to create a healthy boundary
He still finds the secret pathway to me
Parking in my gate
In his white van in his secret way
its like the whole neighborhood closed their eyes
so no one can see his beaming headlights
I don’t know what to do Mister
He is the worst letting our feelings linger
Knowing he can’t leave her
why does he try to make me a believer
because you dont love her
you love me
but we cant be
i try to run
i try to block
he calls my name
i cant ignore
i am so ashamed
when we are together we are complete
or so it seems
until God erases these bad dreams
glaring bright
like his beaming headlights

this disturbed me to the core. i know a couple people in emotionally dependent relationships and its torture to watch them. i know there is no way to fix them, but it is sad to watch.
