Everytime We Part

Everytime We Part

A Poem by butterfly

Can you hear my weeping heart?
Crying for you every time we part
Its the aftermath of the dark
For under this sky there is not even one star
to light the way
All I hear is the haunting call of my name
Like a bitter and jealous hag
The witch returns on this hallows eve path
Turning me in to a creature so mad
erasing every sad and cruel thought of us
a trick or treat you let me know what it be
when a married lover kisses me
i cant resist the taste of love
made with artificial flavor
yet its never mine to savor
without shame, without grace
i drank the sweet potion she gave up
in his arms I fell
back under that spell
for this is the season where the curtains drop
the spirits come and whisper
the messages needed to tell
I only pray God wont burn me in hell
Come haunt me sweet papa
come to me at midnight
shine on me a heavenly light
erase every scar on this weeping heart
crying for you every time we part
