His Frozen Heart

he plowed in to my heart
all the pieces left in splinters
on the bone of winters
with left over parts fumbling for a life spark
now comes again in his lonely night
to say I am on his mind
as he makes his way to his mama’s house
still choosing to creep around like a mouse
in the dark
with his frozen heart
