Love Warrior

Love Warrior

A Poem by butterfly

it was like an oracle prophecy was told to me
i am naive
they would come and take advantage
walking all over
doing what they need to make their dream
forgetting about my own humanity
why was I invisible
when I was only trying to help you feel less miserable
am I truly destined to live unloved
thats what you get when we break the laws
i was dumb I couldnt see
i was so thirsty
walking in a heated desert
when he came to me
realizing we were both unavailable
we were both so broken
i was the healer
in loving him i find myself whole
When the bells toll like a love warrior i follow
where the path leads i worry about tomorrow
a hopeless romantic is what i be
whoever you were is the mystery
we can stay by someone’s side and still we never see
the people we truly are meant to be
I am not naive now
for he also helped me become wiser
stronger
a fighter
a biter
a love warrior
i am a survivor
i am a healer
he moved to a new town but still lives in the same city
while i remain in oakland but she dont need any pity
where violence is the highlighted talk of the town
everyone becomes blind to the obvious pretty
everyone comes to piss on us now
not seeing the light God shines
will always remind sons and daughters
we are survivors
a love warrior
