chapped lips

chapped lips

A Poem by butterfly

i can see the fire lighting up the land
a beautiful glow believed to be created by man
just the divine understand
we were just allowed to borrow
the golden embers burn away the sorrow
him and me were there in today’s memory
a long time ago
a first few days of a new year
burned hunger with drops of a tear
when there should be snow
but always California beach shines gold
even in the winter cold
where the black velvet sky covers our naughty tangled bone
like a secret home
in a desert garden
our hearts never harden
for his kiss
a warming bliss
healing my chapped lips
