Through the Gargoyles of Notre Dame

I tried to get it out
not let him be all I think about
this is me not loving you
though we all know its not true
what did Charles say today
or was it Jewel
what remains of the love
the unloved
but that is not us
we are only human
for the one with love eternal
shines on from above
even when we are fucked
keep loving that same bad boy
He understands
sometimes we have to try
try all the way
or we will never know the point
I wish I could write poetry more elegantly
maybe later it will show in my voice

 we are not just mere flesh and bone
for when we make love for love alone
science is betrayed
its a beautiful poetic line Katherine Larson said at the book place
while I celebrated bravery this memorial day
then i explored a haunted place
in the book annex like a portal to a scary escape
they talk of castles and cemetery
but the most haunted part
is the broken heart
very scary
went over to Greece
walked through first love memories
and I was comforted by those blue roof dreams
as I traveled on to sweet Paris
the city of romance
where there everyone has a chance
for love
as the divine eternal shines
from above
through the gargoyles of Notre Dame

This poem has strong sense of love, it's varying phases, it's joys as lovely as excruciating are their heartbreaks, I loved the reflection of romance in this poem, sometimes we are crooked enough with our choice and though it hurts us we keep justifying that wound and the source it came from, and then we have the second stanza seeking out the romantic displays from classics and architectural spots of philosophy and romance across the world. This was a thought provoking poem!
