Pink Peony

A Poem by butterfly

like peony in new bloom
soaking in the daylight and dew
in the plucked life living anew
a clean slate
inhale
breathe out
under a blue sky with white puffy cloud
in spring’s embrace
butterflies fly away
once was closed
now her heart is open
full and wide
with cracks and curves broken
like a river traveling on high tide
excited for sunshine
sweet nature can not grow where you are
he only knows how to mend broken cars
in his jar is my broken heart
He will not allow anymore crushing of a petal or other part
flowers are so sweet
like this pink peony…
