Callousness

Callousness

A Poem by butterfly

Flew away on paper planes
On the wings of a white butterfly fluttering by I found another reason to wake
then the hair salon called cancelled my appointment
there wasn't enough students for this employment
I laid back down
try to be a sleeping insomniac now
Dreamed of a time when there was an us
You couldnt let go of my hand
I made sure to savor the touch
of his rough calluses
very similar to this callousness
I am alone still now
Why I just dont understand
Life became such a bore to live
When dreams of a louis vuitton bag is too expensive
So a friend asked if I wanted to go out
If I was up for a walk
together we completed a 16,000 step talk
Got reminded of the wilder one I was in my youth
Then the sun completed its shift and as we walked under the moon
I enjoyed the light and hay colored fields that creates the peaceful setting that always surround
Under a midnight sky with a puffy cotton candy cloud
hiding the supernova
by the marina
I was young and naive then
Always duped by cheating married men
oh dear love please tell me when
my lonely season will end....
