Bring Back You

Bring Back You

A Poem by butterfly
"

Fathers day is tough always when you lost him a long time ago....but the memories bring back you...for him and all the father figures that have gone...one day i will find the good man just like you

"

Maybe I can’t find my future
I have been living each day as a memory
Everything changes the picture
But If I keep myself on that day when you never went away
My soul finds a treasure
I get to keep forever
The drinks bring back the memories
The memories keep me in tuned to an eternal truth
The memories bring back you
My heart is lonely
For a specific love only
One divine and true
One that never leaves with a broken heart
You text me you were happy working on your car
You text me but we are still apart
On the same city
Just a few blocks down
Still your heart is the one that needs to be found
Mine too
We are lost looking for a certain type of now
Something that keeps the vow
Something that erases the black cloud
When the priest refused to baptize me
My father was the only one in line to protest
every time he saw the priest he made time to ask
He would not let him forget
You always had my back
We don’t always understand
My brain is slow
He always told me when he was gone I would miss him so
I would always answer I know….
The drinks bring back the memories
The memories bring a light to a truth
The memories bring back you
