why did we accept their behavior

were we blinded by fake dreams

all the girls you talk to are someone's daughter

Why do you forget when you take one for a lover

we aren't tools in the shed

we aren't a fun secret

we need respect

sadly the men let it all end

thats why so many sit on the single bench

with their golden rings and untouched things

with only the touch of their hand

they keep hidden what they refuse to understand

i am frustrated and mad

why when we talk its only about sex

is there no other way to connect

what about my brain

what about my heart

why do you insist only on taking our bodies apart

then you take your secret lover

push her over

to die in the lagoon

you go and hide her

but our father will reveal her soon

because you lost your way men

you just want to grow more seeds

in to children who were born to only know mean

maybe thats why abortion is here

God can see from above something is wrong and its clear

men only take to leave us raped

but we get blamed because we were dressed that way

meanwhile snow white and the prince become innocent victims of hate

unleashing on us the feeling of eternal heartache

did you forget i was someone's sister mister

did you forget we could be a friend

just like the others you cast me away in the end

call me a secret prize like its a sweet poem written from a lovers mind

when in the end we are angels born of starlight

your evil deeds of dark wont make us vanish in the night

taunt us with your fake dream

yet it will be you who will have to answer why men have become so mean

Strong write butterfly. Yes there are mean men but there are also very considerate men. I think you are right. If every man treated women with respect like they would their mother or sister, vast improvements could be made. I am shocked at the violence against women. All over the world sisters are disrespected. Education, education, education. It needs to be priority. Women have to be considered more. Your lines raise so many valid points and you express them so well and poetically. Pleased to have found this post today.
