Jujube

Jujube

A Poem by butterfly

I had a relapse
I missed my ex
Sent a text cause I dreamed of our sex
Oh still we remain unrequited
Why did we connect yet cant be united
Why was heaven through the pathways of his eyes
I don’t have any answers in my mind
But the sweetness of our memory is like a jujube to the soul
I ate the ones he bought me
enhances the feeling of miss
each bite felt like a kiss
Jujube wrinkly and old looking on the skin
I still see you as kindred within
where is love
where is happiness
I dont know
yet the taste of us forever lingers in my soul
