A Dead Flower

A Dead Flower

A Poem by butterfly

after all this time
so many lies
inbetween hellos and goodbyes
I find my love for you goes all the way to the skies
We were aliens in our spacecraft
I was going one way and he crashed in to mine
In his crazy camoflauge and weird mohawk hair
I tried to repell him with subway musty air
In five years time the feeling stays behind
Yet he is in a complicated thing with his wife
there is nothing I can do
i bid him adieu
in my heart and mind
i leave you behind
Yet the love I have for him is just sitting there like gum in the back of my mind
I try to wipe
i try to scrape
Nothing can make it come off
So I just keep going my way
I run, I walk
I read listen to comedians talk
Our love life is doomed
Yet he does his body good
He likes his personal life
so many answers he gives I dont like
Yet he texts me sweet sugar
its addictive and it gives me a power
yet I know we are nothing but a dead flower
