Strange Fairytales

Strange Fairytales

A Poem by butterfly

it may be too late
the craving doesn’t fade
i may overdose today
if its love that takes my breath away
how can i complain
im a dreamer
love seeker
it pains me to hear the words he say
take time for love
even when I’m not the one
just let me go
to the other side of the rainbow
together we learned all we could know
no regret
im not dead
he kissed me alive
after a long sleep that night
strange fairytales
don’t end up in traditional ever after
just with love, light and laughter

I must delete him from my life
from my inner thighs
no longer let him inside
say goodbye to the kiss
i currently miss
this is all fleeting
a lesson keeping
me from being who I am
no longer a lonely queen
we shared this little dream
now we watch it end
as we transcend
into the people reality calls us to be
you are someone else’s husband
you aren’t for me to keep
i am not your life
you are not mine
i have to wean myself
understand this reality
this is the path we chose
its a mistake
time will heal the pain
but i will miss you always
