Embrace every color

Embrace every color

A Poem by butterfly
"

reactions from George Floyd news. Something must get right here. I felt very restless all day. So writing it out.

"
Outside I can see the fiery sky
God calls me to look out the window
I listen to Diane Birch
We need to Rise up
Nothing but a miracle keeps us holding on
I see the fire in your eyes
I see the anger flowing through earth tonight
Maybe that's the reason why there is so much heat
The red earth bleeds mother nature seeks to heal
She also feels what we feel
How do we deal?
Did you find the answers in the cities burning down
Why the white police officers knelt on  the black man while on the ground
Why not put him in the back car instead of taking his dead heart
Till he couldn't breathe
He died so swiftly
All due to a counterfeit 20 dollar bill?
Is that the price for a life now forever still?
Then the autopsy says he wasn’t choked
Earth doesn’t laugh at this joke
Outside the window
I see the red and gray smoke
Clouds trying to burn out the memory of this dark all around
No matter how we try we can no longer stay blind
So open the window
See the lies
Draw the line
So no more black life now or another night
Black lives matter
How easily officers drop them to shatter
Ask yourselves how does the white stars shine without the ebony night
We need them both. Both have power
Yet they try to drown out every black person in less than an hour
Embrace every color
The yellow, the red, the black, the white and everything in between
Jungle fever is high now in this time
I am yellow and white
The white side only see my almond shaped eyes
The Asians only see my white pale skin and who i married for my last name
All of this is naturally gained. California is my home place. I was born on this land on this line.
Still never truly accepted by each side.
Yet I am a part of the rhythm nation
I always hear the angels sing on every station
Be kind to the beautiful souls no matter what shell it dwells in
Like God commanded love one another
It means to embrace every color
We are a rainbow because He is our rainbow in the sky
Why did He make it appear after Noah’s Ark
We are reflections of His heart
When you kill the black man,
When you rape the black lady
When you harm one another
When you harm the LGBT Baby
You hurt Him
The devil wins
So tonight yell at the demons within
Tell them to leave forever
Racism, COVID-19 we can survive together
No pandemic can’t survive HIS stormy weather
Do you believe?
Can we forgive and start a new
Can you accept the unisex signs on the restroom
Can we hold the ones responsible for ugly truth
My best friends are black
I protest for them too
She saved me from a Vegas death
He is my eternal defender and eternal loneliness
I will not be a pretender
I stand against racism forever
I love one another
Embrace every color
I look outside the window
As the sky light fades
i know He will be here always
Shining His rainbow
Hopefully its not too late
We can still learn from our mistakes
Start with love, for love conquers
when we love one another
we embrace every color
We have all been victims of racism
This is a pandemic here since the beginning of time
Lately I agree its hardest on the black life
So be kind because without the black how do your own colors shine
They deserve grace, the time for change is here
Draw the line
no more this time
No more tears to cry
No more targets to burn down
only peace can be found
But there is a lot of work to do
The responsible must take responsibility for the truth
Help find forgiveness to heal the scars
So many broken lives
Broken hearts
This time we can draw the line
We can only heal each other
By loving one another
every sister and brother
child and boy
let earth feel once again that lost joy
She searches she only sees herself burn
We all go to churches yet the racism still returns
Why does the white lady put her signs on each San Leandro house
Telling the Asians to go back to their land
I dont understand
We are mad
We might as well burn everything down
Traditional life is not working now
More life dies too many to count
one out of a hundred falls to the demons
Pray because they try to separate us from God
Conquer with your love
Then maybe we will find assistance from the heavens above
When we learn to love one another
This time we can draw the line
We can truly be pro-life
With a life full of honor
All the babies will be safer
Without any real danger
Without truth stranger than fiction
With love and a way for a peaceful destination
When we can love one another
We embrace every color
