Cake by the Ocean

There is nothing to do or say

He wont text me again today

He has run away

Without a word

Without a note, just nothing

6 pack abs never make a true king

I knew from the start

He shot my heart with his dart

I fell in his arms

He had his way

All night

All day

Cake by the ocean

He ate every slice of emotion

Now is left is the loud commotion

Of the whys in my mind

Of the ifs that play every night

The tears that fall from my eyes

No one will ever see

Queens only cry in the dark

For only God is the giver of unconditional lover

The true healer of the broken heart

There is nothing to fear

I feel His divine healing here

Still the earth has gotten so bleak

why is it only foolish things we are left to see?

I hope he enjoyed every bite

Of my emotion

Of me

the cake by the ocean

it wasn't paradise it was just a foolish light

glittering in the sand

oh why did you have to touch me with your hand

i was hoping we could be something

All i have is nothing

while he runs way with my emotion

I’ve been bitten by a few men like this
I was their cake and I was willingly gobbled up after I separated from husband in 2005
I think as you get older not sure how young you are now but in many years to come this journey you experienced will be but a faded memory along with lots of others you may or may not experience
It will be a page in your book you turned sorrowfully and learnt not to trust so eagerly
I hope you find the one ☝️ you looking for one day and yes certainly I agree God will be there for you always no matter what
