Splendor in the GrassA Poem by butterfly4 rooms in my heart each the size of a mansion All filled with each loved one and it grows when it needs expansion Sometime it breaks to renovate I know the one thing that can never stay and that is the hate Sunshine crept in to my heart first She is the first one in my life to have died By a poisonous act from a neighbor that lived on the right I choose to forgive because demons walk with us on earth Only with God do we walk with a shield from birth So many more live on in my heart Yet this is another story Today is now Corona virus why and how All we know is God will lead the way We must get down on our knees and pray All we have now are the splendors in the grass The memories that will last Everything is borrowed Yet there is magic from divine oak in the hallow I know there is more then the physical science that explains the between In a mix of reality and a dream God is our home Only when we are united will we be whole Stay hopeful but realistic There is no solutions in the events of the balistic Remember today is now There is still splendor in the grass And the memories to keep us company to help us last It rains today and the skies are gray We must still be brave Life is fragile can break easily like glass Yet we can glue the broken pieces together Find a peace to keep us company forever To help us find a better planet for splendors in the grass For new memories that wont burn too fast With the light of the stars Sunshine always lives in my heart
