Goodbye

I just wanted to write a goodbye poem...as I say goodbye to a lover but its never that dramatic...because butterflies are free...

Goodbye my lover

Good bye my sweet love

Tears are running down my face

Its hard to breathe

I long for your embrace

Though I know we can never be

I know what happened between us

I know it was more than just lust

 I made love to you and you made love to me

I will never know if it was real or true

I know for me it meant something deep

An everlasting love, an unfulfilled desire

Yet its been revealed that every word out of mouth makes him a liar

i forgive and I love

Thankful for the butterflies that still fills the sky above

I must let go

Its a dead end road

The sun and moon can never share the same sky

We can never lay eternally side by side

We had our moments and our fun

Remember you on my bed

Remember me in your van

Just know we made love because we can

He didn’t buy me

with no diamond ring or anything

I didn’t buy you

we remain forever free

Well at least for me

However he is still married to she

the jealousy and envy is the death of me

so as I close my eyes to sleep

I say a prayer so deep

that one day God will forgive you and me

I love you eternally

Love can’t be undone

I give to you unconditionally

God whispers I must

Even with all the lies

Even with all this anger and rage inside

All that is left is to say goodbye
