Zombie BiteA Poem by butterfly
Together we can only be the walking dead
He bit me and was able to get in to my bed He stabbed me with the sweet teeth of what he said All those “I miss you” text Asking if I am alone Calling me on the phone Leaving me a handwritten note In the mail box after I blocked him the first time on that one night He says “it feels the best with me” Yet I still don’t get the label that deserves to be I see him with her walking the dog Going to see the A’s wearing the Facebook shirt I realize all he can be are blood guts and dirt So I realize as I think of all those times we shared none of it was real how did i get pulled in so deep? By the razor sharp sweet teeth Charming me so he could get his meal Why oh Why do men lie? Why oh Why do we still fall in love with them every time? I read an article about the empath and the narcissistic All these relationships so toxic Narcissus sucked the life of echo All you hear is her voice he died but the voice still can be heard in the shadow In the cave you hear her calling out so brave for even a zombie bite could not darken out such innocent light he was a zombie eating me Tearing my flesh and body I dont hate he told me from the beginning it was complicated we weren’t fated I just didn’t understand the warning now its too late I walk around in a changed state of mourning we are the walking dead calling each other with moans and hiss for the stolen kiss in the hookup bed The feast was so good it created an addiction I couldn’t see straight i loved the way he came in between my thighs I loved the kissing and the bites Together we found the ultimate ecstasy high Thats all it was thats the lesson Now I have died and found my way to heaven I let go of Narcissus now I am the echo Wiser with lessons I know My brain is filled I am stronger as I go Hear my voice in the cave calling out so brave Even in the darkest shadow The zombie bite Will never extinguish my light © 2019 butterfly |
