Everlasting Hope

Everlasting Hope

A Poem by butterfly

He is complicated
Our path is fated
I love him all the same
Our hearts are wild
They won’t be tamed
I won’t be caged
Maybe this is the only way
I don’t really desire a diamond ring
I feel God gives me everything
When stars shine in the night sky
He reminds love isn’t something you should buy
So many go to their prostitutes
I can’t judge or accuse
I have sins of my own
I don’t want to stop
I can’t let go
In his arms I am home
Its dangerous and its toxic
I tried to run and block
He left a note in my mailbox
Instantly the memories flooded back
Mr. Right isn’t out there
It gets lonely at night
I don’t want to explain
I am tired of weighing wrong and right
I missed him when I blocked him all the time
Maybe its better to not make a vow you can break
He says whats the harm in doing something we like
He says there is healing
He kissed me with unbrushed teeth
Only to text me” Good morning beautiful” he makes me feel
In the complicated love is found
Maybe its ok we just go on a little longer now
I can feel his kiss on my lips after only three minutes
My body crave his fingertips
It can’t be purely physical
There are feelings that come spiritual
We just cant let go
He says he is addicted, he will always miss me, crave me
I feel the same
Wild hearts can't be caged
We have the wild horse spirit
All we can do is run with it
Through the meadow and one day over the rainbow
Somewhere beyond there must be everlasting hope
