ConstellationA Poem by butterflyHe was a constellation We had amazing stargazing It created a supernova blazing Held my fascination, it was more than imagination Ignored my friends warning Couldn’t feel the toxic harming I would only close my eyes and lean in to the warming Embrace as we held each other tight through the seasons of sun and gray We were two aliens from separate universe I guess his spaceship collided into mine It felt like we locked together in this black hole loop of time Now I feel the phoenix in me arise I read you have to lose yourself to find yourself Its like I suddenly remember I belong to another universe Its like the memories finally surrender and there is no more flame to burn Only two butterflies rise to the sky and return Losing what they learned before Like nothing happened anymore I don’t know you You don’t know me I don’t text He doesn’t look for me Our last time sex wasn’t as complete as could be I need love Something happened the game is up The lights burned for us A sign in each others sky Like a constellation shaped like a butterfly A light shined and held our fascination Felt like it was love but only infatuation For where is our future, no where My heart suddenly is aware Love just can’t stay there The angels cry as the wings rise to the air We dare to try We were attracted to the light Two little butterflies wandering in the sky Fascinated by a constellation lit night By the sign made only for our eyes We ignored the warning sign and leaned in for the kiss Not realizing this destiny was fated for a miss Yet no matter what I will remember times like this Every time I see the constellation in my sky High in the night shaped like a butterfly….
