The Heart Always Returns

The Heart Always Returns

A Poem by butterfly

I hope there will be a day when we won’t be too busy to answer the call
I hope there won’t be any more blockage by this wall
He texts he misses me wants to hold me, hug me, kiss me, thats all
Oh baby we can share a storybook romance
Just tell me you will always be my man
Don’t ever let go of this hand
You belong with me, I belong with you
it always feels like this when we make love its true
Don't make me feel ashamed I got naked with you
He made my world a little less blue
I don't know what the future holds
I only know its you I need, he is the warmth to the cold
He keeps me safe from harm
Nothing better than my baby's arm
Promise me you will always be my sweet heart
Nothing in this world can make us part
We are forever tied to this dark
We light it up when we make love
These things can't only be made with lust
He is the sweetest honey
The only thing I want to do
Every day I think more about you
I guess there is nothing left to do just sit back and enjoy the view
I can only pray to God above that I get to keep this love forever
I will pray and say thank you my best days are when we are together
Making love in the late night I sit on his lap he holds me tight
He comes over and we run to our room
I want him alone because time goes too soon
We kiss under the moon and even the afternoon
While the world sleeps
He holds me tight and we listen to our heart beats
I will just close my eyes and say thank God he found me
He made me feel again
He made me love when I said I wouldn't
Maybe its these gifts and these lessons we need to learn
Sometimes its passion and sometimes we burn
Yet through it all the heart always returns.
