Tear Stained Pages

Tear Stained Pages

A Poem by butterfly

Tear stained pages are what remain
Out of the embracing post sweet surrender
I wonder did he forget my name
Oh baby please get it together
Say you remember
Don’t pass the love we made
Don’t let the butterflies melt away
I don’t know where you go
Why you do the dumb things you do?
Why you offered me a ride home?
When your friendship leaves me confused?
I dont understand
I thought you were a man
One day we will see if the butterfly returns to me
Until we meet again
Tear stained pages are what remain
Lost and shivering in the cold
I wonder did he forget my name
Those times it was me he longed to hold
Now the phone doesn’t beep
There is no text message for me
Just the tear stained pages of the butterflies that used to be
I believed nothing could take you away from me
Yet he must be on some kind of leash
Oh love why must you always be out of reach
I only wanted him to stay
Only tear stained pages remain
