I will Still Keep On

about loving and losing but even when you lose you win so its ok to still keep on.

I prayed for you all day

All night long

I will still keep on

Till we are in each others embrace

All the men of my yesterday never wore love’s face

Only masks and I loved them till all I found was the cracks

So there is no reason to be sad

I am not dumb

I am may have the skunk funk

Yet I see everything

I see the players, I hear the cat call, and every night I fall in to my bed alone

Dreaming of the day my love and I make our home

I am delighted

So excited

All around me is the truth and the butterflies

I made sure not one of mine has died

I know what I need is a high quality guy

So when you are raising your sons

Make sure they know how to respect the world

Especially the girls

One by one the demons come to crush us like pearls

They don’t know God has us wrapped in pretty wings

Oh you can sting us like a bee and try to hurt me

Yet the butterfly in us is the shield from feeling anything

In the end it was the dream that means something sweet

I prayed for him all day

Till we are locked in that strong embrace

Till I find true love’s face

All the men of yesterday wore masks and I loved them till all was left were the cracks

There is no reason to be sad

No one has been had

He didn’t stomp on my  heart

I was in it  for the fun

Not one bit of my soul has been ripped apart

He was there holding me all along

He wore a JC tattoo

So I know in the end I was searching for my own spiritual truth

I prayed for him all day

All night long
