When the Warriors won

When the Warriors won

A Poem by butterfly

Today the golden state shines like a champion today
In the month of June, the sun orbits around the moon
Winners grace came our way
We celebrate around Lake M
On Broadway with all our friends
The Golden State Warriors won the NBA trophy again
Warriors,….basketball survivors, players and winning the back to back game
Now Oakland is in the hall of fame
We aren’t just some drug and terror filled place
We are the Town people choose to live on where suddenly the rent is raised….
San Francisco rent is too high
All these strangers came like BBQ Becky and jogger who terrorize residents who lived here first for land to buy
But we are the true keepers of the Town, we were here first, and we will always be around
We are champions at last
We blow away the bullshit that gets thrown on the ground
Champions take the braver stand
We won’t let mean crap pollute the land
The Town is a place of diversity and peace
We are the diamond in the rough
We shine like gold and smell of sweet
Our warriors defend we have the power of three
If only city officials and rich corporations could see what has always been
The champions in our land, the Town that is grand and the Warriors made a parade of fulfilled dreams. Inspiration beams as so many said they were afraid to come and were shocked at the beauty that shines like gold under the sun, when the Warriors won...
