New Year

New Year

A Poem by butterfly

A new year
I still wish for you here
He wishes me Merry Christmas baby
However no New Years greeting
Did you forget me already?
I know we are not committed
Yet you called me five times after my text
He calls me princess
Wouldn't you then be my prince?
I know its a doomed fairy tail
How can I give up hope?
All my friends say I should know
Unavailable
Its the game for a fool
I feel so uncool
its time to say goodbye to you
Yet this don't make me feel good
Its an ugly truth
He just wants the physical
Hoping for a miracle
I guess I will keep praying
One day I will hear my love saying
Its forever babe I am staying
As the fireworks explode over the screen
After Dick Clark's rocking eve
This stranger kissed me on the cheek
I can't help but whisper a new year's dream
Oh please, please Lord send him to me
Let this be the one I get to keep
Dear Lord bless me, dry all tears, end all fears, only love grows here
We pray on this New Year.
