Body

Body

A Poem by butterfly

What do you see in my body?
Curves and a belly.
I have wings and a bit of jelly
Is this all the world seeks in me?
The men on craigslist all offer sex
I walk the streets no one sees me
What happened to the days of love?
When promises weren't broken
Kisses weren't stolen
When love was one on one
Straight, or same sex
Are we truly giving our best?
Am I just tissue paper?
Do we just throw each other away later?
Didn't my heart and soul impress you so?
I guess my b***s is all you wanted to get to know
Use my a*s for your joystick?
I see us and I feel sick.
You see my body and it's a possible new toy?
Something to sleep with when scared?
In the morning will you still want me there ?
Bodies are just shells
They turn to dust in the end
Look at my body see me my friend
Promise we will live each other till the end
In the dark
In the rain
When you are far
Call my name
I'm calling you too
Tell me when you see my body love is true
Tell me there is hope for me and you
Show it with a smile
Hold my hand
Even when I'm fat
Hold me with a love's embrace
Even with nothing flat
Tell me you are glad when you see my body
Give me a sign you can see the true me
Treat me with better behavior
I'm not tissue paper
Heart and soul not just flesh and bone
Tell me when you see my body
You see the human me
Tell me you are at home
When you touch my body
