When Angels Collide

When Angels Collide

A Poem by butterfly

For the singles aka angels

When angels collide flying in the sky
Destiny was there making me catch his eye
I was flying down the path
My heart was so sad
He saw me
He called me
He made love to me
Sometimes in the late night hours
Sometimes with the afternoon powers
Sometimes with tender kisses pretty like flowers
Angels can't stay long together
No matter how long they try
No matter how long they pray and cry
They don't even talk about love and forever
They can feel it with the touch of a hand
They can feel it like walking on sand
Unspoken but easy to understand
They know this moment won't last always
It could be thirty minutes or a day
They know the secrets
When love comes they don't think twice
Wings wrap around other
They fall to the ground
Borrow a human body for the day
Then when the moon comes they are swept back away
Flying high in the sky
Off to the next mission
To pray, aid or guardian
Not remembering the love that was made in the distance
No wedding ring or vow can hold them together now
God assigns multi tasks
Long love just distracts
Angels never complain
They would never ask for another way
I know someday
Love won't hide
The one we made we will find when angels collide
