Angels Never Stay

Angels Never Stay

A Poem by butterfly
"

I believe we are angels locked inside human bodies sometimes its why I feel some are meant to be single or stuck in unhappy marriages we are on missions bigger than our love relationships....

"
Angels never stay
They come to kiss the love awake
Leaving beads of grace
Before you the sky was gray
I was lying flat on this grave of earth
I couldn’t even face the hurt
Then he called my name
In his eyes was such wonder and surprise
I knew then he was heaven sent to be mine
God never promised forever
Angels are on a mission
They can only stay on the winds of weather
As soon as the tide changes they fly away
They won’t tell you good bye they just disappear
I will still love you here
I live for love dear
I was dead
Now I can feel my heart break
Angels breath blow away the pain
Why can’t he stay?
Was I just your w***e?
Was I just your slave?
Was it my heart you have come to slay?
He maybe an angel I am the unicorn
Tried to take the light from my magic horn
Don’t you see I was granted everlasting life since I was born
We are all the children of God
We couldn’t help but fall in love
Now like an angel he has disappeared. Drifted with the fog.
Angels can’t stay for they have to sing endless praises of song
I wouldn’t make it stop. This would be wrong
I won’t take what isn’t mine
I just can’t help but fall in love again for all time
It doesn’t get me anywhere but the end of the dream
Life is just one endless mystery
One thing I have come to understand inside the man
Angels never stay
They just come to kiss the love awake
Oh he just disappears and I understand today
Angels never stay
