Inspired by a reunion with a bestie and realizing we have traveled through the dark valley to find each other in the light. for true friendship.

I have travelled a great distance
Feels like I allowed myself to stay hidden
My reality has been so hard
Filled with dating and broken hearts
The relinquishment of jobs and the unsuccessful search for true love
While in the midst of the dark valley an angel must have heard my heart from above
Her text came in the nick of time
We went out to brunch and I felt myself smile inside
In my confession of sin I wasnt met with condemnation
THere was just accepetance the sign of true friendship
I dont require validation
However its always nice to recieve the unexpected invitation
She told me she lost her mama
The endless stories of the work drama
She has the diamond ring and so I believed everything
I was jealous
However now I see where I am is where I want to be
True friendships are the roses in the cement
Its always nice to hear I understand
I have seen the exhaustation that life can demand
She has travelled a great distance
Through perservance shines brilliance
A great model of intelligance
I was glad to have the seat across
I am reminded these are the things that come without cost
In HIs time we unite
So will all the other things that are meant to be right.
