life love

life love

A Poem by Jerry Patrick Ryan

I woke up and started thinking of you again
it's been 12 years I wonder will this ever end
the silence keeps me remembering
maybe there is something left to mend
the love that we once would protect and defend
strong regret for the loss of a loved friend
What is meant to be will happen so let it don't resist
and remember anger is only there is you let it exist
take the hard moments and memories and burn them to crisp
the past is the past and don't live on a wish
live in the moment just like catching a fish
and who knows someday again we will be fetching a dish
but live to be happy is what seems to be rich.
